For my Day 2 I wanted to tell the story of our Advent Calendars. This year all three of us got a special one. And we got our calendars pretty early this year. Usually we start looking for one at the beginning of December when all the good ones are already sold out.
Corben got his calendar in mid-October when we went grocery shopping. He saw the LEGO® Avengers calendar and we bought it right away. Mario’s calendar was advertised in his favorite store for work clothing. I was the last one to get one. I didn’t really know what to get for myself because I don’t use make-up and I don’t drink tea. So opted for the most obvious calendar. An Advent Calendar with scrapbooking supplies.
For the half circle I was inspired by Ali Edwards. The big star is from the Star Scrapbooking Kit and the number two was stamped with my XXL number.
Day 3 started with the tree on the right side and evolved into purchasing the digital version to create the background for the half circle. As I have two printers I had to remind myself that each has their own purpose. My Epson XP900 is just not good with the printing digital products. Maybe I should say that it is too good. The colors of the paper in the half circle looked nothing like the colors from the original tree. I switched to my Canon TS5050 and you can see the result in the pictures. I always use my Epson to print photos and my Canon to print anything on paper. I should just stick to it.
So the story of Day 3 is how our cats love to climb into our tree to play catch.
