For the With A Twist class for Level 2 of Altenew Educator Certification Program (AECP) I chose the lesson about acetate because who doesn’t like a shaker card, right?

Before using my all time favorite embossing folder Raised Sentiments with Lavender Fields, I ran my white piece of cardstock through the die cut machine to cut out the word hello with the Bold Alphabet Die Set. For the embossing effect I add the ink directly on to the embossing folder and then I run it through the die cut machine. For full coverage you might need to repeat this step multiple times. I find that inks that are a little bit lighter work best for this technique. I even had to add a piece of cardstock because my embossing folder is bended a little bit and the ink wouldn’t transfer everywhere. This trick helps a lot.

I then created the window with some acetate from my stash. The shaker elements are also from my stash. Because I felt a little pop of color was missing, I added a sentiment from the Solid Sentiment Strips Press Plate.
