I am continuing with class number 8 of the Altenew Educator Certification Program (AECP) which taught us Seasonal Scene Building.
The class focused on things like coloring with markers as well as watercolor, creating backgrounds and making framed, window and shaker scenes. My card was inspired by the lesson about oversized scenes. Well there’s nothing oversized with my card except the card size so I just created a flower pot scene.
All products used are listed at the end of this post.

I started off by die cutting all the pieces from the Creative Cuts: Houseplants Layering Die Set from white cardstock. I then used my Stampwheel 2.0 to ink blend all the pieces. For the flower pots I used the Warm Gray Fresh Dye Ink Mini Cube Set. For the flowers I used my favorite colors Pool, Aqualicious, Hydrangea, Be Grateful, Puffy Heart and Coral Red. For the leaves I used Matcha Tea and Olove.

For the background I used the Raised Sentiments 3D Embossing Folder. It is slightly smaller than my card front so I centered it leaving a white space on the left and right side. I think this gives a nice effect and no one will ever know that the embossing folder was actually too small for the paper. I added a little bit of Chamomile to the center of my background before putting everything together.
For the sentiment I used a stamp from the Craft Your Life Project Kit: Arched Foliage and stamped it with Obsidian Pigment Ink before die cutting it and adhering it directly onto the flower pots
