I have never worked with alcohol markers in my life before, so the Magic Marker Techniques class for Level 2 of Altenew Educator Certification Program (AECP) was something new for me. I decided to use my alcohol markers on vellum and I really like the result.
All products used are listed at the end of this post.

I cut a 4 1/4″ and 5 1/2″ piece of velum and started using my alcohol markers on it. I made sure each layer was dry before adding more ink. I added pure alcohol as well to get more playtime and added some splatter at the end for the final look..
What I didn’t consider was that vellum when wet tends to curl, so next time I would cut it slightly bigger and tape it down. I would then cut it down later to fit my card size.

Because vellum is see-through, adhesive like liquid glue or glue tape will be visible. So for vellum I like to use micro dots. It covers the entire vellum piece and you won’t see any adhesive.
For the sentiment I had a left-over piece from the Timeless Sentiments set and used that.
