I can’t believe we are almost at the end of Level 1 of the Altenew Educator Certification Program (AECP). Class number nine focused on Easy Die Cutting Techniques.
Having stamps and matching dies is probably my most favorite product. As you might remember I am no good at fussy cutting. I really enjoyed the lesson about negative die cutting so I made my card focus on that.
All products used are listed at the end of this post.

I first stamped the big leaf from the Craft Your Life Project Kit: Arched Foliage with Obsidian Pigment Ink and then ink blended it with Matcha Tea and Firefly. I then used the matching die and cut it from white card stock twice. I then adhered the negative pieces onto my card base giving it a dimensional look. I love this effect. You could possibly stack the negative layers even higher or use different colors of green cardstock.

Because there was too much white space on the card front added some water to my inks and splattered it onto my card. The positive die cut from the leaf came in handy to mask off my inked leaves.
For the sentiment I used a simple hello from the Timeless Sentiments set.
