I am back with my results of the Impressive Heat Embossing class for Level 2 of Altenew Educator Certification Program (AECP). What can I say but it’s green again. I have a lot of stencils but I rarely use them because of the cleaning that’s necessary after a craft session. However, when Svetlana mentioned stencils and heat embossing in one sentence I was all aboard.
All products used are listed at the end of this post.

I wanted to create an ombre look on my card so I ink blended my favorite green inks onto white cardstock starting with the lightest and going from top to bottom. With embossing ink and a stencil it is best to use a blending tool with sponge applicators. This way you can work the embossing ink into the stencil and you will receive better results.

I then added clear embossing powder and used a heat tool to melt the powder. Because the powder dries clear everything underneath is visible. I can see myself redoing this card with all different colors. Last but not least I added a gold sentiment from the Timeless Sentiments on black cardstock.
This is definitely a technique that I will use in the future as I have lots of stencils that want to be used.
