Sometimes you have so many products and the possibilities are endless that you forget about the simplest things. For the Polychromatic class for Level 2 of Altenew Educator Certification Program (AECP) I chose the lesson about monochromatic colors. I mean hello can you go any simpler yet have such a beautiful effect. The card design itself was inspired by Jennifer McGuire‘s latest video Easy Hinge Cards.
All products used are listed at the end of this post.

For the card base I followed Jennifer’s step by step tutorial and then went ahead to create the backgrounds for my card. I started by coloring the background with Coral Berry and then stamped some flowers from the Craft Your Life Project Kit: Translucent Foliage with the same ink. I adhered the background to the left side of my card base.

I then used the embossing folder from the Craft Your Life Project Kit: Arched Foliage and added it to the right of my card base. After that I cut out have a good day from the Timeless Sentiments 2 set twice from white cardstock and one time from gold cardstock. I even cut out a shadow layer from vellum for some extra stability. Finally, I adhered the sentiment onto the right side of my card base only.
