After passing Level 1 of the Altenew Educator Certification Program (AECP) program back in August/ September life just happened. We went back to school and we had lots of things to do around the house. However, in the next few days I will share my cards for Level 2 that I completed for the challenges.
Today I am starting with the Beyond Basic Background class. I was most intrigued by the In-laid die cutting lesson.
All products used are listed at the end of this post.

I started by cutting the word hugs from white cardstock multiple times and one time from gold. In addition, I cut out the word hugs from my background panel. I then adhered the background panel to my card base.

I added the gold hugs first. This is the in-laid layer. With the white cardstock words I created an embossed look by adhering them as well.
These techniques are so simple yet they create cards with a wow effect.
