Class number 7 of the Altenew Educator Certification Program (AECP) focused on Stencil Techniques.
For this card I was inspired by one of the lessons which used a cover die that was turned into a stencil. I absolutely love the result.
All products used are listed at the end of this post.

I used the Zero-Waste Leaf Pattern Die with Masking Paper. You can also use cardstock and use that as a stencil. I have had masking paper in my stash for a while and had never used it, so I wanted to try it. I then adhered it to my card front and started ink blending with Mild Yellow. With a Mini Ink Blending Brush I added some details with Chamomile. Because the card still looked a bit plain to me I added some splatters with Jet Black Ink Spray.

For my sentiment I used a die from the Scripty Sentiments, which sadly is no longer available, and cut it from black cardstock. I also cut out the shadow from white cardstock. For some interest I adhered the sentiment slightly slanted.
This lesson was a great way to show how you can get more out of your products and I love that.
