Today I am going to share how I created the cover for my DIY 4×6 album.
When the products for Week In The Life™ 2022 were released, I immediately fell in love with the Weekly Journal Cards and knew I wanted to go with a 4×6 album this year. Inspired by the 4×4 Buildable Album from Ali Edwards’ Travel collection, I decided to make my own 4×6 buildable album.
For the cover page I printed a digital transparency from the Week In The Life™ 2021 Prep Day on my favorite 200g paper. I then used different Distress Oxides colors and watered them down and dipped my paper into the paint.
For printing I used my ink jet printer and thought that once the paper got wet, the ink would start bleeding but it didn’t and I don’t know why! Maybe it’s the quality of the paper but I’m not sure.
I used 1mm chipboard for my album and sized it to fit a 4×6 page protector. If you have any questions drop me an email or leave a comment.
