For the past nine years December 6th has been my favorite day of the year. Nine years ago I got married to the love of my life. Since it’s the same day as St. Nicolas Day there is always something going on.
On the evening of December 5th everyone cleans their shoes and boots so that St. Nicolas can put some candy and maybe some gifts into them. In the morning I took a picture of our shoes and boots which were filled with lots of candy and chocolate indeed. Because it was so early in the morning the picture didn’t turn out so well so I used it in the background and stitched vellum on top. I used the Digital 10×8 Vellum Sheets and printed my journaling into some of the circles.
I wanted to do embossing on the vellum, so I stamped the 6 with Versa Mark and added gold embossing powder. The vellum warped a little during the process so stitching it onto the photo was a little difficult. I’d probably just lay it flat while I heat set it next time.
For the embellishments I used pieces from the kit and from my stash like the cork stars.
